So, I have sat with my Ummi & we have talked about my DIY dresses & gowns for the big day. We would have 3 outfits each - one for nikah, one for sanding at my place, the other one for sanding at his. Geez, am I spoilt for choice after roaming around Google! However, particularly, I am definitely leaning towards Melinda Looi-inspired designs. Sighhhhhh, I get so dreamy imagining myself in those beautiful dresses luh! I've got millions of ideas running through my head, on how to make them hijab-friendly! Here are a few of my choices:
I actually predict myself taking quite a lot of time to scrutinize the details, on each dress - given that I am pretty meticulous and picky, so to speak, when it comes to choosing clothes. I'm guessing the only reason for that is due to the fact that I got my Mama's tailoring genes, except the part where I would need to sew it myself - aaaaahh, itu sungguh tak sanggup. No, I've got no patience for that at all. Yet, part bila baju.. Every inch of the cloth, the stitches, the details, semua ah aku check. for those who know me, would know that I am probably the most cerewet person everrrrrrrr! Even when it comes to food, which I will elaborate much further when it comes to the discussion about caterers.
I do have a few in mind, but I shall leave it up to my parents to decide. As long as.. Makanan dia sedap & presentation is not as shitty as some I've seen. Ooops!
Sigh. I should get back to work, although my body is really not allowing me to focus on anything today. On a separately positive note, I cannot wait to go fabric hunting!
